whew!

Wow... so... yeah. I can't really write any casual observations before saying that we just went through a scary time with my oldest son... severe dehydration as a result of a virulent stomach virus that landed him in the ER and then in the hospital for two nights. We were blessed with extraordinary doctors and nurses at both places. An artist friend who has logged some hospital hours with his daughter has said something to the effect that our profession seems frivolous after seeing some of these agents of mercy at work. I concur. I know that every one of us has a different purpose, but when health care workers are good at their jobs, they are some of the most angelic people on earth.

He rebounded wonderfully--thank God with me!-- and our house is back to its whirling healthy madness.

Wow, that's crazy! Praise God he is well again! Its really amazing how necessary water is to our fragile bodies. They don't call it life-giving for nothing, I guess.

My husband recently experienced the ministry of some well placed nurses and doctors as well, and you are so right, such a gift!
