unprovoked
I promise I didn't plant this seed, at least directly. Twice in the last week, my 2 1/2 year old son has said that he wants to "draw his mind." So I get out the drawing supplies and he goes at it! He's loved to draw and paint and cut with kid scissors for a while, but this is such a curious concept. When I tell him stories at night, he's a bottomless pit for them, so I usually leave him by saying, "Just think about the story in your mind," in answer to his endless request for more stories. So maybe that's where it comes from? Anyway, I love it.

Kids have such uninhibited creativity, its really exciting to watch. I'm sure you've felt this too, that just being exposed to their way of seeing and enjoying life has inspired my own creativity greater than anything BC(before children). Everything's so new and fresh. At first crayons blow their minds, then using a pencil is like getting the best present in the world, then trying paints-well, words can't describe the excitement they bring.
I think its really neat that your son shares this desire to create like his parents, provoke away!
Oh wow... not that I ever doubted he was a Bent/Garrels creation... but COME ON!!! :) I love it too!
can Ezra come draw with Lucas? Maybe Lucas could tell stories and Ezra could draw them.
sounds fun! whether the boys would cooperate with the plan... well...
